Re: So this gym rat says to me

By transcending the duality of meditation and meditator, external and internal realities, the meditating awareness dissolves itself into its luminous clarity. Transcending the intellect, it is without the duality of meditation and post-meditation. Such is the quintessence of mind Lol he accidentall...

Re: Question about Sang offering

Why is sang done on the morning? The DC Sang can be done anytime, tho there are some Sang practices that specifically state to do it in the morning. I think traditionally it's a morning practice because one is purifying and strengthening the positive local spirits, hence removing obstacles, what be...

Re: Unclear parts of Longsal Divination of Dorje Yudronma

I recall vaguely about Yudronma but am not sure, nor am I sure about the dates. What should I do? If you don't know whether or not you have transmission then the answer is simple... Tho perhaps try to jog your memory as to when you tuned in, it only happens a few times a year so it shouldn't be tha...

Re: Tibetan Yogis & Their Multiple Yoginis Wives

It's likely a cultural thing. In old Tibet and India polygamy and polyandry were common practice. Not sure how common it is currently.

Re: Why don't "enlightened masters" work together?

Wrong forum, friend. The Buddha considered the Jains to have wrong view. There is no such story of a meeting of Mahavira in the Buddhist canon. That kind of perrenialism is not shared. Among the Buddha's followers, cooperation among realized beings is common. Ok. How about across Buddhist schools? ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Where can i read or listen instructions on the vajrasattva practice of dc community? The one that has been practiced lately? At the Shang Shung Publications Web Store there are a few free documents and audio, one of them is the Vajrasattva + 25 Spaces, the practices done most recently via webcast. ...

Re: gaze/open eyes/closed eyes

I've gotten a few different pronouncements on why one should have eyes open during contemplation, rather than closed. I notice though that some teachers and students, and well, sometimes even ChNN Rinpoche had his eyes closed at times. I am wondering if there is any true rule, or if it just a "best...

Lay female practitioners would be ngakmas.
I thought a ngakma would be something more specific, with hair empowerment, etc.

I saw it a couple of times senior year of high school (2005) and found it pretty funny. Having had some psychedelic trips under my belt by that time the whole blanket thing made a lot of sense. I haven't seen it sense so not sure how it holds up, perhaps a rewatch is in order.

Re: Lama Tsultrim Allione - Open Webcast Transmission - January 20, 2019

I did the chöd course when it first came out, I can't recommend it enough. It's incredibly indepth with videos covering history of chöd, each section of the sadhana over view and translation line by line, downloadable audio, and printable sadhana practice sheets. We're fortunate to have the opportun...

In Dzogchen, they are the same thing.
