Re: Bhagavad Gita 2; 11-25

Yes you could. Take the first quoted verse about 'The Eternal Reality Of The Immortal Soul' for example. Squaring that with the doctrine of anatta could fill a rainy afternoon or two. Depends on your view of the Tathagatagarbha. No, it really doesn't since the tathāgatagarbha sūtras definit...

Re: Dark - Netflix Original

Is anybody else watching Dark - the Netflix Original? This is the only show I have liked this much and just simply cannot stand at the same time. It is so frustrating. Kevin Just seen the trailer, that genre is not an aquired taste of mine but it is for my mom who goes through movies and series so ...

Re: words enter the intellect: one is known.

Emptiness means relations. any thought exersice like in the OP are fantasies the conditioned mind adds to perception, when the mind is still the knowledge of "one" is also no more, in this place of "not-knowing" is where our practise lies and wisdom manifests in our daily lives interacting with livi...

Re: Looking ahead...(split from ZFI topic)

haha! Well, we will always look for something to be critical about. Until we stop looking for things to be critical about. Just another aquired habit and habits only dissolve when we see through the mechanism, we tend to act in patterns instead of in freedom. Not the idea of freedom ofcour...

Always in that spirit Brother (otherwise it's my error)
I understand, it helps to be reminded though and I appreciate your experience in this matter, which is much more then mine, so it's helpful to get your angle on it.

I'll expand my neutral wardrobe a bit :jumping:

Re: Looking ahead...(split from ZFI topic)

That's actually one of the positives I see about the robes. We have guest robes, for people who don't have their own. They are just lightweight, short bowing robes. They cover up whatever distracting stuff people might have going on with their shirts. Ads, pictures, whatever. It supports the practi...

Re: Looking ahead...(split from ZFI topic)

personally i think its weird for lay praticioners to wear robes. But thats just me. Even if i were a monk, i'd figure out a way to avoid that I completely agree, and I have practiced with Kwan Um for many years. It's a minor annoyance, though. Babies and bathwater... I sometimes get funny looks bec...

Re: Bizarre Conversation

On the internet. The person i chatted with said that they were Buddha, not satisfied with having Buddha-Nature or being a Buddha-to-be, or Bodhisattva. I added that one ought not wish to be Buddha, and they assured me they didn't. They had practiced 35 years and were quick with all the answers, but...

But that's another story  ppl don't like it when you start dusting of their furniture witho...
