ZZNG ngondro booklet/pdf needed

Dear all, the Ligmincha shop has been down for some time. Could you tell me where I can get the ZZNG ngondro booklet or, failing that, pdf? The wife needs an English version rather badly.

Thanks!

Re: What Shamatha tradition best prepares one for Dzogchen?

I am not really criticising Alan Wallace. I am quite OK with the fact that teachers teach in a billion often (mildly) contradictory ways. (That said, I do not think I agree with Wallace's position -- which, my disagreement notwithstanding, may still be a useful thing to present a particular audience...

Re: What Shamatha tradition best prepares one for Dzogchen?

Wallace, in his book on shamatha from Dudjom Lingpa's revelation, suggests that the tremendous potential that can be developed by extensively training in shamahta, can become infinitely more powerful if on that basis we continue to train in vipashyana, generation, treckchod, thogal, etc. One contro...

Advice I got from a teacher when I was in a similar situation:

'You are not leaving your old teacher, you are expanding from your previous experience. Make sure you include everything with a pure view, and you're fine.'

Re: Latest report on Shambala abuse just released.

Going back now the the actual point of discussion raised now that it has been established, with much thunder, that it is not libellous nor unfounded to ask this question: What do folks think about the comments related to Pema Chodron, that she victim-shamed an abuse victim and is also on the so-cal...

Re: Garchen Rinpoche Poland/Yamantaka/Mahamudra

There are two texts circulating here, that of the complete sadhana (18 pages), which Garchen Rinpoche did not talk about in detail, and of the creation stage instructions, which he explained.

Do not know how much of it got into the Internet but experienced in person it was just unbelievable.

I slowly came to appreciate the simplicity and directness of GY.

The more I do it, the more profound it gets. I sometimes get a little emotional thinking about it. I must have some merit to have received this from Rinpoche ...

Also, one of the prerequisites for attending the 'path of liberation' is that you have received pointing out instructions from a 'qualified lineage holder'.... this isn't just Tulku Urgyen's sons...from speaking to both Mingyur and Tsoknyi Rinpoche, they both have a real respect and connection with...

Re: Leaving a teacher (ChNN)

I will try :-) Rinpoche gives DI but it is up to us to actually "get it," if we do not "get it" straightaway. Even if we do, we have to familiarise ourselves with the state, stabilise it, etc. Both in order to "get it," and in order to develop our familiarity with the state, we are expected to do wh...

Re: Leaving a teacher (ChNN)

From the few retreats I've been at, tons. As long as they do some sort of guru yoga every day (it does not need to be Ati Guru Yoga, but why not, it's so simple), they are maintaining all of their samayas, and it is totally fine for them to study with the Gelug lama as well. I'm pretty sure I've se...

"Leaving" is not the right word here, is it?

I mean, they are not severing any ties, abandoning their commitments, etc., they are just changing the emphasis.

Re: Books that really spell out sadhana practice

I've read two books recently that have been of huge benefit to me in allowing my wooden headed, former atheist brain to get a much more heartfelt appreciation of vajrayana practices. One was Turning Confusion into Clarity by Mingyur Rinpoche, which allowed me to see ngöndro as a beautiful, transfor...

Re: german prosecution office investigates Ole Nydahl for incitement to hatred

Tibetan Muslims lived in relative harmony in Tibet as a minority culture. And let's just disabuse you of the notion that "all Muslims are bad people" right now. Would you appreciate it if anyone made a sweeping generalization about everyone who was your ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religi...
