Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Rinpoche kept talking about direct introduction and how the rigpa can be introduced, in how many ways, but he never did the direct introduction... Really? Hm I think He was saying there is no single retreat when He is not giving the direct introduction.. Does anybody know that book from which Rinpo...

Re: Pointing out instructions

And where in the sudden approach there's place for the path of renunciation which always is said to be the basis for Sutra? Sutra yāna, whether sudden or gradual, is still based on renunciation of sense objects. Agree, however Zen is not like it. Infact, the practice of hua'tou, so called "Great Qu...

So when 'beyond' it's ok to eat nails and stones instead of bread and water when body needs food, right? :) Or when 'neutral' ?

Re: 'Non-duality' and 'neutrality'

So if your body needs food you also stay in between of "need food" and "not need food"? :) Or is it like, there's no difference if what you will eat is bread or nails, for instance? :)

Re: Pointing out instructions

The basic difference is as follows. With Dzogchen, right in the very beginning your primordial state is pointed out to you with words, symbols and personal experience. You then work with this, integrating into this knowledge. In Zen, you practice for many years, discover your real nature, awaken, a...

I've been interested in Dzogchen ever since I came to Buddhism about 5 years ago, and now the time has come to try...
