Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

That is like fire and water. Completely different.

Emptiness is Non-implicative negation.

Nothingness is implicative negation.

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Only people who do not know emptiness of self will projecting the sticker as the contiuum of consciousness. You actually made a lot of strange points: the concept of atman is created due to failure to recognize the existence of consciousness The truth is another way around. The concept of atman is c...

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Between the transition process of seed and sprout, that transition cannot be said as this or that. Why? In the middle of that transition, you are in transition. You cannot say this is seed, and you cannot say this is sprout. However, in the middle of that transition, you also cannot say that transit...

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

There is the consciousness since it is not the conceptual emptiness, viz. it is merely emptied of characteristics, but not empty of itself. This is precisely what Ju Mipham said that ultimate truth is treated as a negation of rabbit horn. You propose consciousness: - Characteristics of consciousnes...

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

This is the price point of contradiction.

Since you also know there no even emptiness, how can then you posit there is consciousness?

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Jyoti: in buddhism there is no such emptiness either. Above statement is contradicting with your next statement. The 12 entrances and the aggregates are none other than consciousness. The 7 consciousnesses are the branch, whereas the 8th consciousness is the root of consciousness. It is easy enough...

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Consciousness is like emptiness.

What do you mean by this?

In emptiness, there is no consciousness. Now you said consciousness is like emptiness. It is again self contradicting.

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Consciousness itself does not have conventional characteristics, one who knows consciousness does not bother with it, does not focus on it, nor trying to become it (becoming attached). But for the convenience of reference, one name it as its existence is true. Conversely if one afraid of the name, ...

Re: Consciousness as just a sticker.

Look, if there is consciousness, whether you want to name it or not, you won't be able not to attach to it. Because if there is consciousness, that consciousness is your part, it is the one that control you, and it is impossible for the controller not to control itself. So, jyoti, your concept about...

Consciousness as just a sticker.

Jyoti: Consciousness is not composed of concept, so it cannot be prove or dis-proven by concept. There is no buddhist teaching high or low that is not based on the consciousness as the basis. (I separate this topic) So for you, it is clear that consciousness is not just a sticker. For you, if I tak...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

If you utterly refute these elements teaching, why do you respond to every post on the topic? Maybe you should make another topic on whether or not to accept different elemental teaching in comparison and contradistinction with modern science... Unless you're trying to bring this thread to an intel...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

Reminds me, base meaning of rūpa is 'color'. :namaste: THis is then interesting cycle. It will be like egg and chicken. Light can be seen as a form of energy. Energy can be seen as light. So, should we see (light at the basis, then energy as the manifestation), or (Energy as the basis, then...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

Wow, they even can propose dark light concept.

When the darkness is seen as the absence of light, now darkness is seen as the manifestation of light with dark color.

Amazing.

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

However, as mentioned, the consciousness belongs to the realm of ultimate reality OK, so you don't see any mistake with the concept of consciousness isn't it? We are talking consciousness in the conventional realm, and it is also within the same platform, this consciousness can be proven as wrong. ...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

Now, you have help me to see another interesting point. - darkness.

If everything is light, how come there is darkness?

Dark light?

I never see a concept free from contradiction.

Useful for certain practices, but also dangerous to jail us with this contradicting stuff.

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

Oh yes, you are right. I think these 5 model are already complete. But actually they miss light. I just remember. But in some tantric practice, these 5 model are viewed as light. So, wind is light with certain colour, earth with certain colour, etc. If we are not aware, then it really can give an im...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

We need to differentiate between wrong concept, but is useful, and Correct concept, but is useful. I know this universe can be seen as 5 groups. Because using this 5 groups as a metaphor, it can explain many things, particularly in training inner energy. There is a discussion, which I can't remember...

Re: Elementary Particles (dharma)

... You should study the textual sources in Buddhism, to help you understand. Do you think the Buddha taught about the elements to disagree with his central teaching of dependent origination...? No.
So do you think that Buddha teach dependent origination as the interaction of 5 elements?
