Re: Lama Dawa Mirror Divination

Hello I and 2 others would like to get mirror divinations from Lama dawa rinpoche. However his website says he is in retreat and check back after march 2012. It seems obvious that the website hasn't been updated, because it's well after march and on Saraswati Bhawans Facebook it shows him active. D...

Five Lineages

I can't find anything in English on this, other than the odd bit here and there. So can anyone explain the five lineages or guide me to good sources? What does it mean, so and so is of Ratnasambhava lineage for example? How does this effect that person's practice? How can you tell who is which? Is i...

Re: Effects of reading restricted material

I wouldn't worry about it. When I happen to read restricted material the worst that happens is that I can't focus on the text and can't remember most of it.

Because if you engage in oral intercourse then your lust is so great that regular intercourse is not enough for you.

Re: Coincidences freaking me out

Sorry for grave digging but I recently thought about this again. Every once in a while, when reflecting on some teaching, I make jumps in understanding. A few months ago, I was considering the necessity of Bodhichitta. “No Buddha of the three times became a Buddha without developing bodhicitta. A Bu...

Re: Practice of Setrap

Regarding Palden Lhamo Magzor Gyalmo, the Himalayan Art website says that she is mentioned in the Dakinyagnijihajvala Tantra, Dege Kanjur, volume 98, pp.223-253 from the Nyingma Tantra section, vol.3. TBRC w22084. I was wondering if someone who has access to the Kangyur could bring up the reference...

Re: Practice of Setrap

Different. But plenty of resources on the web. I see this topic is controversial so better to follow the advice of Thokme Zangpo, What worldly god, himself trapped in Samsara, can liberate others? Therefore when seeking refuge, take it in the undeceiving Triple Gem. This is the practice of the Bodh...

Śrī Devi is a wisdom protector.
While on the topic, is there a difference between all the Sri Devis? For example, the Sri Devi popular among the Gelug, and the Sri Devi of Marpa? Are they the same deity or different?

Some say Kalarupa is worldly, others say otherwise. Some say Palden Lhamo is worldly, others say otherwise. As for oracles, I have heard the same. I have also heard that worldly protectors like Pehar don't have oracles because they are too powerful, and entering a medium's body would kill the perso...
