Re: Where does the Abrahamic God (יְהֹוָה) "fit" in Buddhist cosmology?

He proposed a principle. This does not preclude gyalpo worship existing side by side in the case of those who wished add some philosophical sophistication. Basically, most religions, with the exception of Buddhadharma, begin as some kind of spirit worship. Which comes first? The humans seeking magi...

Intention is what matters. Vajradhara is displaying ignorance to let you practice your knowledge and abilities.

Re: Where does the Abrahamic God (יְהֹוָה) "fit" in Buddhist cosmology?

Malcolm, I recall you said that the Muslim god is a gyalpo, is the Jewish god a gyalpo then or a general preta? Is the Christian god the same being, or a different one? As for devas not being interested in human affairs, what about mundane protectors like Indra, Brahma and the like? Do you mean that...

Oops thank you everyone, but I meant the previous Zong Rinpoche.

Thank you, Lobsang. Excellent teachings. I searched the Lama Yeshe Archives but not closely enough I suppose.

Zong Rinpoche Teachings

I've been listening to some teachings of his on youtube and they are excellent.

I've trying to find other teachings from him but there's nothing. Nothing through FPMT, Amazon, or even Google.

Any sources you know of?

Thank you!

Re: (carefully) Broadcasting Dzogchen through music

Hello Sangha, I'm relatively new to Dzogchen so please pardon any ignorant questions on my part. I'm trying to tread as carefully and responsibly as possible here, I'm aware of the immense power. I'm a musician who's recently received pointing out instructions, I'm interested in writing songs about...

When I bought the horoscope, there was a fraud alert pop up on my credit card. I ignored it and a month later, my card number was stolen.

Buyer beware!

Re: Praying to a saviour?

Please look at an image of Padmasambhava, or of your teacher, or of your yidam. I can assure you that you are loved unconditionally. I can absolutely promise you this. There is no mistake. Somewhere in this universe, you are loved unconditionally. What you must do is learn to gradually exchange you...

Re: Can one fall down from the Bodhisattava bhumi?

Thank you, I may be wrong but my understanding is that it is not possible to regress when you have attained gold-like bodhichitta, which is the second of the twenty-two types of bodhichitta so it goes without saying that if you have attained a direct realisation of emptiness and the bodhichitta ass...

Re: Can one fall down from the Bodhisattava bhumi?

If you attain the first ground in this life, because it is a direct realisation of emptiness, you will not regress. It is said that even if one attains the second type of bodhichitta, which is called 'gold-like bodhichitta' or engaging bodichitta after having taken the bodhisattva vows, one will no...

What is the difference between these three terms?

They seem to be used interchangeably.

Thank you.

Tsongkhapa on the other hand attacked fellow Buddhists for having what he decided were wrong views. But he was somewhat polite about it, and kind. His disciple, Kaydrup, on the other hand as neither polite, nor kind. The polemical climate in Tibet was not Tsongkhapa's fault of course. He was follow...
