Re: Mantras for Multiplying Merit

(I do not know where to post this... sorry...) Can anyone please share and explain the mantras Tibetan Buddhists recite to multiply the merits of other activities? Are these Sutric, or revealed through the masters of Vajrayana? Thank you! many of them either come from Mahayana Sutra's or Tantra's.

Re: Where can I find the Longchen Nyingtik Nongdro Sandhana

Thanks. I found that one too after I posted it. But there is a slightly difference than what I have (Tibetan/Chinese), for example, the one at lotsawahouse only has the visualization, but not the prayer after getting up from bed in the morning, that's why I asked for the "complete" English sadhana,...

yes. this is the pure representation of the 3 vajras.
Vajra body

Re: No Sound in Visualisations ?

Visualization meditation has nothing to do with vision, as in eye consciousness. It is the mental consciousness that is used. Because we use mental consciousness, and not eye consciousness, depending on the practice, one is not limited to just imagined images, there is sound, there is even smell an...

its actually the other way around.
The Bon that exists today is unrecognizable compared to pre-Buddhist Bon.

Re: many questions about Rainbow body - help please

the secondary cause for the rainbow body is togal,... Remind me of the primary cause please. There is a teaching of rainbow body outside of Dzogchen in the Vajrayana in conjunction with a particular Highest Yoga Tantra practice also. I mentioned this to Malcolm/Namdrol on eSangha and his response w...

Re: many questions about Rainbow body - help please

so zen and theravada masters have to be reborn until they attain rainbow body in order to be liberated from samsara forever? In that case an Arahat will have to be reborn again? This is a big contradiction between early buddhism and tibetan buddhism. not necessarily. the secondary cause for the rai...

I've heard people who attained rainbow bodies are reborn on earth for some reason such as Ayu Khandro? why? In 2004 Khempo Yurmed T...

Re: Dzogchen: When are you ready for it?

Dzogchen is a completely different system, a nongradual way, it does not depend on the results of other vehicles. I am not so sure about that. Dzogchen contain all the other eight yanas and their views make perfect sense from a Dzogchen perspective. And since that is the case how could Dzogchen be ...

This is an excellent book. I was actually at the teachings that it is a transcription of and remember it as the best unification of the Four Noble Truths, the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination, and Madhyamika I have ever heard. Also the argument about the 1984 Ford Taurus doesnt really work, HHD...
