Re: Buddhism on God

So...woman is God-like ? (Or God is a woman ?) ohhhh... I had to stare at this for over a minute before your point became clear. Cute. Yeah....it's a real cute philosophy Kevin concocted....women are not considered conscious....I'm typing this in my sleep !!!!! Men hafta be conscious when t...

Re: Buddhism on God

I want to know if your definition of "God" refers to a thinking being or not. God only thinks to the degree that you and I do, since we are parts of God. The only other "intelligence" of God is that of cause and effect as a whole, which is not a conscious intelligence. So...woman is God-like ? (Or ...

Re: Buddhism on God

Well... then, one wonders... if the Buddha taught Brahma and Brahma clearly saw the superiority of Buddha's view... and presumably the Hindu gods interacted with people somehow in order for people to know they exist and worship them... then, why hasn't any Brahma come back to earth to tell people V...

Re: Buddhism on God

Buddhism on God? If we are talking about God the Father, God the Creator, God the Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent, Buddhism dismisses him as fiction. If we are talking about the All, the universe, or even the universal Buddhamind, why not use those terms, dispense with the term God and consi...

Re: Buddhism on God

Also I have read, that eventually a Gods karma will expire...and they will be reborn in lower realms...they are not omnipotent like they think they are....eventually stains will appear on their clothing, they will start to drool, and other signs that their karma is deteriorating will show...

Re: Buddhism on God

Brahma & Indra requested Buddha to teach : After attaining liberation and enlightenment, Buddha hesitated teaching others the way to achieve the same. He felt that no one would be able to understand. But the Indian gods Brahma (Tshang-pa) and Indra (dBang-po) implored him to teach. According to the ...

Re: Making ghee from salted butter?

I've made ghee with salted butter...no big deal...unsalted has a shorter shelf life than salted...but it still tastes good. Unsalted tastes a little better tho (more authentic I think ). If made properly, you don't need to refridgerate it either. This is what an article on ghee says: "I can only fin...

Re: Cooking advice

These foods should be fine without adding onion & garlic...add extra black pepper maybe ? Anyways...do you have a teach...

Re: Cooking advice

TOPIC REVIEW: COOKING ADVICE Is there any benefit in seeing to it that onions and garlic are always eaten well cooked? Does this minimize the harm in any way? I don't know Catmoon. You don't read about any if's, and's or but's. Garlic & Onion are also known as anti-parasitics...so I suppose killing...

Re: Cooking advice

Yes! Try asafoetida , also known in Indian cooking as hing. It stinks to high heaven in the jar, but once it hits that hot oil, it magically becomes garlic and onions. Who would think? Be sure use a jar with a tight fitting lid, and store it away from other spices, it will overwhelm them. I keep mi...

Re: The YELLOW BOOK

I love the topic of aliens and ufos. (Me too ) I am not remotely comvinced however that ufos have anything to do with extraterrestrial visitors. A very large amount of UFO lore is the product of fantasists and experiments in psyops - especialy to hide experimental craft like the F117 steal...

Re: The YELLOW BOOK & NAGAS

Ok...forget the Yellow Book (for a while)...maybe it is considered a secret or something and no one that knows about it will talk about it....but there is plenty of evidence in Buddhist literature/scriptures that talk about NAGAS. Are Nagas real living beings that live underground & under the waters...

Re: The YELLOW BOOK

Sorry...I'm NOT refering to the Gyalpo Shugden Yellow Book. But obviously the Yellow Book in the link I provided . I want so badly to know the truth about these things....(extraterrestrials). Buddha taught to beings all over the Universe...I'd like to really know more about those others beings...it ...
