Re: What are you doing about the coronavirus?

If 36 million get the coronavirus, a 1% average death rate results in 360,000 fatalities. And then add to that no vaccine and that number could multiply faster than the influenza. Actually, the WHO now says the death rate is 3.4% of people. So for every 100 people that get it 3.4 people die. Virgo

Re: Merit

Is doing something in order to earn merit and help people less meritorious than just doing it to help people? It is the opposite. When you do something to attain merit, you then dedicate that merit. When you dedicate merit free of the three spheres, that merit is indestructible. Virgo

Re: Physiological symptoms as a fruition of practice?

In any event, in Dzogchen practice this is not necessary, nevertheless, my point is that we should frame it in the right light. It is very rare for beings to come to the human realm and to receive these teachings. The penis going into a sheath or reducing in size should be seen as a blessing. We are...

Does it assume that phenomena exist inherently? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abhidharma Svabhava The Abhidharmikas often used the term svabhāva (Pali: sabhāva) to explain the causal workings of dharmas. This term was used in different ways by the different Buddhist schools. This term does not appe...

Ignorance is lack of mental phenomena.

Wow that seems like extremely helpful information, that's like 10 miles away from the event location.

Thank you for sharing. I'm looking into going to at least some of it, and I would almost certainly fly into Stewart.

Thanks!
I am happy you found it useful.

When it comes down to brass tacks, when karma ripens and it leads to conditions propitious for Dharma nothing will stop it.
Until then then there will obstacles.
