Re: Why Mudras?

Could you say that practicing Mudras in Tantra creates the causes to use Mudras from an enlightened state? Almost like an attainment where maybe based on some kind of intuition from your form body manifest different Mudras for the benefit of others?

Re: Why Mudras?

I know in pictures that Deities are sometimes portrayed using Mudras but was wondering in a more active sense like once enlightened Mudras are something that are spontaneously accomplished.

Re: Bliss

Does the view change at all amongst the different school of Tibetan Buddhism. Perhaps where Nyingma would say that bliss is inherent while Gelug might say bliss is not inherent but only a skillful means?

Howeve...

Is Guru Rinpoche sometimes depicted with toes or feet curled in? I have a picture of him with his foot out but it doesn't look like he has any toes or they might be curled up.

Re: Images

Yep, the first poster of this thread provided a link to a good site that has two of the Longchen Nyingtik posters available for purchase (one that is darker characteristic of the Eastern Kham style and a lighter one characteristic of the Bhutanese style).
