Re: Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

It's not enough to "stop believing in karma." You have to actually purify your perception to the point that you actually know karma is an illusion, without a doubt. That's what dharma is for. But in the meantime, to just say "I don't believe in karma, therefore it doesn't exist," you are fooling yo...

Re: Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

Well, to me that means then that enlightened beings in this world don't have free will to chose between good and evil actions. Means that they can only do good. Is that freedom, to not have free will?

Re: Isnt it a Buddhist belief that there exiet so called Demons

So I can be Mara in my next life if Mara is simply a sentient being? Watch out, I am good at tempting.

Thanks

Whats the meaning of Zen Buddhism?

What's Zen Buddhism? I went to an Eckhart Tolle meditation meetup in Melbourne and they where talking about Zen, but the bloke that spoke about it was speaking for way to long, way to fast and I think he was talking about some scriptures and in the end I didn't have a clue what he was on about. From...

Re: Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

Could one say that believing to the point of knowing the truth about ultimate infinite goodness there is mean you are enlightened? I don't think its good to make it look almost impossible to reach! Isn't it a bit pessimistic to have beliefs that enlightenment is so hard to reach? Some people are mak...

Re: Isnt it a Buddhist belief that there exiet so called Demons

You know what puzzles me know: Demons are evil. Mara tempted Buddha. Mara is therefore intelligent and evil.

Now, how can people call demons karma when the is good karma wich is hot exclusively evil like demons are?

Thanks

Re: Isnt it a Buddhist belief that there exiet so called Demons

That says that so called Mara the demon is karma. Isn't demon a being with intelligence and karma an impersonal physical law?

Re: Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

But can you be a Buddha on earth and have no karma left? Also, how does Buddha free himself from it if its not by beliving/ knowing that he can control it? How about Avalokitesvara mahasatva who reincarnated as others? Wouldn't he/she(Khan Yin Boddhisva) be on earth and free from the influence from ...

Re: Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

Isn't it a Buddhist belief that once you reach enlightenment and become a so called Buddha your karma stops, you free your self from it. How else would you free you self from it but by realising that YOUR MIND can do it wich is believing its product if your mind, again, up to an extent and in a cert...

Your beliefs and or knowledge create karma

If you believe that karma exists you give it power that way. If you stop believing in karma then it stops existing. You create your world to a great extent with your beliefs or should I say expectations.

Re: Following is about work i did and I nvite your stories

Just a question: Why do some say that we need to confess our evil deeds and to whom do we need to confess? If you are confessing to someone who already knows, like you might say Buddha, then why does he need your confession? In dealings with people around you sometimes it feels good to clear up some...

How much does labeling as good or evil has to do with it?

I am writing in light of my treads on veganism and coffee. I am begining to think that how we label certain things like coffee and veganism for instance influemces how it effects us. For instance, if you go on labeling coffee as a strong upper drug then it might end up having some of those effects o...

I have dissolved any fears I might have in relation to my past. I have accepted what is, but I might say that after doing things in order to help my so called illness. Things like metaforically speaking purifying karma or whatever it is that I believe/ believed does so( I don't believe in literal Bu...
