Re: How is karma individual?

Then in Buddhadharma, when we talk talk about dependent-origination, we’re not really concerned with the alleged interconnectedness of everything in the world and all the related processes of its apparent arisings; we’re actually only concerned with the dependently-originated processes of the mind (...

Re: Tathagata family? (Vairochana)

First of all, your said experience is probably not something you’d want to be sharing with other people. Not disastrous I think (?), but also not a good idea.

And yes, Blue & White, Vairochana, Akshobhya, & Vajrasattva are seemingly presented interchangeably in various presentations....

They don’t make ‘em like this^ no more...; straight fnçk¡ug’ lyricism.

Caveat though: I disapprove of the Kung-Fu movie guy at the end saying “may you rot in hell” for obvious reasons.

Re: Trump, Conspiracies, & Left vs Right Paradigm

This is just me venting & ruminating a little. The way I see it, is as I expressed in another thread not too long ago: Out of the three types of Bodhisattva ways— the King, Oarsman, and Shepherd —Longchenpa advocated for the King-like Bodhisattva way, when he said to strive for your own well being w...

Trump, Conspiracies, & Left vs Right Paradigm

The truth of the matter is that not everyone wants to have to be conditioned by political correctness, third-wave feminism, globalist ideology, corporate brainwashing in the public school system, big-pharma lobbyism, etc. (btw, some of the world’s biggest corporations push all of the above agendas, ...

Re: About a nihilistic adrift of Buddhadharma

I found the following, that Chögyal Namkhai Norbu has mentioned a few times: The first words of the Buddha after awakening are reported in the Lalitavistara Sūtra: The ambrosial Dharma I obtained is profound, immaculate, luminous, and unconditioned. Even if I explain it, no one will understand. I th...

Re: Narak Kong Shak Questions

Magnus, I’m not saying that anyone should be fixated on trying to separate Dzogchen from the Inner Tantras, like some westerners may seem to be. What I’m saying is that there are Dzogchen Teachers who say that if our circumstance is such that we do not have the time and opportunity to apply Deity pr...

...and consider that the first Dharma in this Kalpa.... Implying that neither Shravakaya nor Paramitayana as Yanas were the ‘first’ Dharma teaching. The implication being that Mahāsaṅdhi & Vajrayāna include the Paramitayana in its entirety; whereas the Paramitayana only hints at Vajrayāna & Mahāsaṅ...

Re: Karmapa VIII & Buddha Nature (Self?) video

If you look at it from the Nine Yana’s classification or Nine Ways of Bön; and consider that the first Dharma in this Kalpa is Mahāsaṅdhi taught by Acintyaprabhasa, also known as Khyeu Nangwa Dampa Samgyimikhyabpa.... The public-posting of the following article must have been approved by Chögyal Nam...

Re: Karmapa VIII & Buddha Nature (Self?) video

The way I see it, Paramitayana is a subset of Vajrayāna, just as Shravakayana & Pratyekayana are a subset of Mahayana/Paramitayana.

Even though it may not seem that way according to historical/‘text-critical’ analysis.
