Re: "Liberation through seeing" tattoo

Cool idea. I have no idea which one to go with, or if it's dharmically a good idea, but I like it. Maybe someone more experienced will chime in as to safety, and so forth.

Re: Veganism is an Eating Disorder

:rolling: Did you ever notice that vegan food is often unpalatable and, not infrequently, unpleasant to the sense organs? before, during, and after digestion, if you know what I mean. I'm talking about the farting. Vegans can be farty, you know. That's only a problem for a little bit. Once you becom...

Re: Local guardians

"You'll find them hanging out in the skid row bars of every city." Funny you should say that. I once had a good friend who was a skid-row drunk in NYC. Actually, he was one of my best friends for 30 years. This guy's "exploits" were truly Rabelasian. However, he was also close with a number of Tibe...

Re: Garchen Rinpoche's 2017 Teaching Schedule

The photo was taken in Boston/Arlington, or the Vajrayogini empowerment, or both? Pretty sure i screencapped that myself, so i attended the webcast. Need to not lose the laptop that I had my empowerment records on, or back them up elsewhere electronically through the web... I would greatly apprecia...

Re: Garchen Rinpoche's 2017 Teaching Schedule

I was there, I think. Boston/Arlington.

That answers a long-running question I've had about hrih/bam.

I don't know about copies, maybe Garchen Institute. I could scan my copy in and email/message. Includes the long life aspiration for Garchen at the end.

Re: How did you find your teacher?

My teacher was the officiant at my wedding. I was a Shambhala person at the time, but somehow the teachers I asked there had teaching engagements when I'd planned my wedding. The location was where my parents lived, so my father asked around. There was one Tibetan teacher who was recommended to him ...
