Re: rebirth the ultimate interconnection?

So am i taking things a step too far if i posit that rebirth is a type of interconnection? Definitely not. You could even go so far as to say that all beings have at one point been your mother. :smile Oh no! This is a step too far. "I" want to get out of here, where is the exit of nature - net? :al...

Re: rebirth the ultimate interconnection?

A step too far. It depends, since also interconnected. But then is there a step too far, as a step out of the net of Indra? Since there is 'no being' existing out of itself, can there be birth out of itself without causes and conditions? (12 links of dependence...) Mind or body, or both, or a perhap...

Re: authorization

I should not say it like that, Clyde. Rather * Bodhichitta * or * Wisdom-Compassion is the very teacher * Guiding Bodhichitta inviting in what is to know . And that is at least for delusions like me not knowing phenomena/things/ones. Example: "Don’t investigate the root of things, Investigate the ro...

Re: Mind out of control

You don't work on IT (truth, realization, enlightenment, awareness, whatever) ... IT works on you. Emaho. Merrily Merrily Meryly Streep... actors of our own dream we are. Still so very very sad! Identification with a self and its world, thereby jealousy, greed, frustrations, anger unfortunately cau...

Re: authorization

:namaste: The very authorization must be by Bodhichitta for the welfare of all and all. So for the welfare of the teacher and all students till nature of teacher – students is fully recognized-actualized ( or how I must say that...). At least this is how i see it, therefore do not merely accept this...

Re: Accept everything or change something?

Yes, true, Sadhaka. That is probably why there is said: help first yourself and then all. Helping ourselves by opening heart-mind for all. At least so according to advice of "Primordial Goodness". Perhaps mindfulness can help to be aware of own mind and so behavior ( see the rubbish my mind is fille...

Re: Accept everything or change something?

Hello friends, Should I accept everything as is (meditate, see dependent origination of all things, all things are empty of inherent existence, wisdom of discernment, wisdom of sameness, etc...)? Should I change something (tackle conflicted mental states, learn to love others with tonglen practice,...

Re: Two months of writing.

The first and second poem from today looks like saying that real love is never binding. There is no higher Love then the help to free all. Let all be free. Of course it says much more but this I pick out. In the last poem you write: "I just want to get out of here, I stare at myself in the mirror an...

Re: How are the paramitas related to the bhumis? Also: Is there an end to suffering?

So wonderful, Kevin! I hadn't seen that. I find here just some words (in which the Paramitas are somehow reflecting as well )from Kanchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche, Amazing Compassionate teacher. It is important to realize that enlightenment is totally dependent upon your own effort. It is not ...

If a child, a child cries would you not forgive them?

Re: How are the paramitas related to the bhumis? Also: Is there an end to suffering?

Hi there, Good point. What means Paramitas, it is not something a person understands, does..there are on the internet many explanations, which can help to lead to the wish of guidance. I don't know how the Bhumis would not be automatically related, perhaps since the Paramitas are without the concept...

Re: Should a mother who is emotionally neglectful and indifferent be honored on Mother's day?

So my mother has just never really been there for me throughout my life in the way that I needed her to be. She has always been indifferent and distant and also abusive and/or allowed my step father to abuse me. Yet, she wonders why I haven't seen her in over 15 years. She doesn't want to talk abou...

Re: Angry mind does't go well with this blood

Then comes our own children (anger) our friends at work (anger). Some parents are very negative.... It asks some effort to "remain aware" ( not of something). And " those " feeling for example accused by such ( being negative) is as well going in the dream trap of identifying with I-thought-feeling...

Re: Dialectical Monism / Emptiness

People create all kinds of things-philosophies, and all kind of isms and then they need to explore them, investigate in them and try to get rid off to keep what is looking correct. Or other theories are created. All just play of nature? Emptiness-dependence is not a reality but emptiness-dependence ...

Re: Angry mind does't go well with this blood

Anger like emotions can be used on the path to recognize nature. However anger already flowing into actions is veiled by an experience of independent inherent self, that experience of independence is the real cause of anger. H H Dalai Lama said once when we are self-centered, we always think me, me,...
