For example, christians may see Jesus; tibetans and some buddhists cultures will see wrathful gods or beautiful bodhisattvas. If, as some lamas/Tibetan book of deads/ say, in the bardo we see the wrathful and ...

Re: Questions about Mindfulness
Thanks for all the answers. SeeLion, thanks for the vey complete and clear answer, very helpful! I like the idea "waking up posture", its useful and I will try it. When you said "There is a meditation stage, where thoughts indeed stop, but I hesitate to call it more "spiritual&qu...

Re: Questions about Mindfulness
Thanks for the answers so far. What I meant was that sometimes the overflow of toughts will make me distracted and loose my mindfulness/awareness of what I am doing. A little like falling asleep, where you loose the sense of your own consciousness. DGA, perhaps thats what I need for now: relax and l...

Thanks for your reply. Short but meaningful
What about "loosing yourself" with the chain of toughts? How can I stop that from happening?

I would like to read your answers and opinions: 1) If I am someone with a high degree of spiritual development, when I am meditating, should my toughts stop OR they dont stop but I am very aware of every tought appearing in the sense door of my mind? ...

Pure Land is good.
Meditation (shamata or vipassana) is good.
So, both are even better

Re: Some toughts about Pure Land practice; personal experience
Saoshun, for me its enought to rebirth on Pure Land, when I die.
Until that happens, I would like to try other practices (without leaving Pure Land!).

Re: Creation and Completion Stage Resources?
In fact I dont want to keep the same talking about transmission, my question this time was just a quick one, maybe one of you did something on internet. Anyway, I think in August N.Norbu will do it again.
And I am doing practices with no empowerment.
Well, thank you very much once again

Re: Creation and Completion Stage Resources?
When looking into the Tibetan Buddhism threads, I found one related with Allan Wallace. Thats when I remember reading, in a book he wrote about lucid dreams, about the practice of imagine yourself as a deity. There it seems that you do not the empowerment. After reading your posts, I suppose that he...

Re: Creation and Completion Stage Resources?
In the perspective of psychologial benefits, I suppose that there are benefits. For example, you will see many authors saying to mimic the behaviour, manners and toughts of a given person in order to be more like her. You will see that in books about many themes. Of course that the more "mystic...

Creation and Completion Stage Resources?
I think that seeing yourself as a deity, both in physical form and way of thinking and acting, is an amazing idea. Only Boddhistavvas could convey such ideas! :) Anyway, I would like to learn more about deity visualisation and seeing yourself as such. Where can I find more information on how to do t...

Rory, about Sangha in real life will be very hard for me. As I said in other topics, I live in Portugal, a Catholic country. And I live in a small city with even more close minded people.
Anyway, I think that all the other tips are great, thanks!

Re: Some toughts about Pure Land practice; personal experien
Ayu an Porkchop, thanks for answering. Indeed, this is more kind of encouragement topic, specially in a practical way like Porkchop did. I never read about the Naikan practice, I will check that. Thanks for the advice from ShanTao, I will read carefully the link :) Ayu, I like that advice: do not le...
