Entry into gcod
As I mentioned in another thread, I am interested in doing gcod more often. I did the short kusali offering (without special melody or instrumental accompaniment) as part of the LN ngondro, which I just had the lung for. I have also received the Dudjom Throma wang which I think doesn't actually incl...

Re: Good days for chod
I just checked Machig's Complete Explanation (I probably should have done that before.) After I quick look through I found, "Every [lunar] month [observe] these four dates: the first, the tenth, the twenty-fifth, and the eighteenth. Also these three: the fourteenth or the twenty-ninth, the new ...

Re: Good days for chod
Thanks for your replies. I suppose I'm not really looking for a way to make this into a daily practice, I already have something for that and I definitely don't want any more to do on the 10th and 25th as these are my two 'busiest' days, practice-wise. I was just looking at ways of getting chod into...

Good days for chod
If you don't do chod as a regular daily practice are there any specific days of the lunar calendar that are good. I recently read ( here ) that the 9th, 19th and 29th are good days. I've also heard that the 15th is a good day and I imagine that the 25th might be too but I do something else on that d...

usually i feel uncomfortable when people are dissrespcetful even to some anonymous user on the forum. is it something wrong with that? Me too. Other than reading "Crazy Wisdom" several years ago, I have absolutely no connection to Chogyam Trungpa or Shambala. But I think Illusionsgame mad...

Re: ChNNR Dorje Drolo retreat
FWIW, I just found practically the exact opposite description of Dorje Drolo: Dorjie Drolod is the most important among the great manifestation of Guru Padmasambhava. According to both Buddha and the Guru Padmasambhava, this degenerative era is characterized by strong forms of desire and anger. The...

I think one of them is a terma discovered by the Fifth Dalai Lama and another by Dudul Dorje. And I'm guessing it may include a Jangter Drolo.

Re: ChNNR Dorje Drolo retreat
Why "write it off"? You just received two empowerments according to two lineages, this is a great privilege. I missed pretty much the whole thing. Got a connection back just in time for hearing some of Song of Vajra. I heard a few syllables recited between it cutting out, but wasn't sure ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
I don't think he gave Guru Yoga transmission. I thought he said he was going to do it tomorrow. I don't think there was enough time today. Good teaching, though. Lots on where he got the teaching from (Adzom Drukpa's son) and the circumstances around that, explaining union and liberation, especially...
