Re: Dudjom Tersar Guru Rinpoche

Yudron-la, I've received this empowerment but never took a detailed look at the sadhana. I know emanations involved, but can you say a bit about how it's arranged, i.e. if one of them is the central deity and how they're all practiced in the one sadhana? Not sure if this would be against samaya to ...

Re: Copyrighted Dharma books

I wonder if Marpa the Translator charged Milarepa, and his other disciples, for access to the dharma texts and teachings he went and acquired in India and translated into Tibetan! I wonder if Bodhidharma charged anyone in China for translated teachings and texts.. Or Dogen in Japan? :stirthepot: Mi...

Re: Dudjom Tersar Guru Rinpoche

It is called “Collection of Seven Treasures (Ter Kha Dun Dü)” and can be found here: http://www.dharmatreasures.com/the-collected-seven-treasures-guru-sadhana/. I'd imagine it has both Tibetan and English, but you could contact them, or maybe Yudron would know? Yeah, it has Tibetan, English and Pho...

Re: Mom and Son

I would like to say hello to everyone, Today my best friend back home told she is going through quite a difficult time with her son Collin. He's 6 years old and she stated that he's been displaying severe signs of emotional crisis. If it's at all possible any prayers for Collin and his Mom (Aricia)...

Re: Copyrighted Dharma books

I was a professional publisher, translator, and editor for 30 years. I know of two companies, my own (now owned by someone else) and a good friend's, that have simply stopped publishing due to the pervasive breech of copyright via the Internet. In the last couple of years I worked for the company, ...

Re: Kumaradza and "pure" Dzogchen

My impression is, take it or leave it, that a lot of these great lineage holder enlightened beings practice Vajrasattva until the end of their lives. Dilgo Khyentse's namthar mentions his ongoing practice on Mindroling Vajrasattva, and I know other great lamas who continued VS practice to the end, a...

Re: Pekar incense

Yudron, I've made many, many ointments in my day (commercially through Blue Poppy Enterprises); so I know a little about that. I don't think the pokar will melt with heat in a way that will allow it to mix with oil. It will dissolve in alcohol. I know this because we used that process with frankinc...

Follow-up: The day after I mentioned that there were only male monks and lamas up front and holding the empowerment substances, the nuns appeared en masse up in those positions. Tonight, Lama Tsultrim Allione was up there, too. Hey, maybe I have more power than I thought!

Re: A severe period of depression

Normally I would not ask for prayers to be said for myself but I feel this is coming from a sincere wish cope with this so that I might help others. I have overcome alcoholism at 24 and everyday I fight it's causes. I say my thanks everyday for not being in the grips of a bottle - and I suppose wha...

So next there is the wangs of Semde, Longde and Mengakde. Receiving these in the Dam Ngak Dzö in the early nineties was a life changing experience for me. So, have a great time! /magnus If I just stay awake, I will feel victorious. Rinpoche gave a couple more hours of seemingly Dzogchen-related emp...

Re: Pekar incense

Yudron, PM me if you'd like to try some Boswellia resin from the Yucatan that a Mayan shaman once gave me. :namaste: Thanks, chopon-la! Question: the substance is to be melted on the stove and blended with crushed rilbu to make an ointment. Do you think your substance would do that. I think water m...

Re: Vajrayana and PTSD

I've been reflecting on this. I have an elementary school friend who is apparently suffering greatly from PTSD. I don't know her, but she is a devout Christian and is a FB friend. Yesterday, I got a FB post that she is buying chicks to raise for eggs, meat and fertilizer. So, she is making the inten...

Well obviously these aren't actual buddhists at this point  Very sad, may they all resolve their difficulties and return to the right way Many cease to be Buddhists when the mice, rats and insects arrive. How many more collapse when a member of their family or a child is harmed? The cycle go...

Re: Nyingma Kama Wangs Started Today!

We finished the anuyoga wangs of the Dupa Do (the root tantra of anuyoga) today, after having been granted every level through Mahayoga previously. These were very complicated empowerments, and had visualizations related to one's anatomy. Then we had the Dzogchen empowerment from the Dupa Do. Then h...

Thank you for your generosity for funding this non-commercial site and upgrading to a better platform. Spam prevention sounds great! If the new version has a possibility of not having to archive personal messages after you get to 100, that would be more convenient. It's been interesting how sites ar...
