I contacted Garcgen Institute and the advice from Garchen Rinpoche is to use any Guru Rinpoche text you are familiar with. The Konchok Chidu (peaceful Guru Rinpoche practice) available on palpung.org.uk is as good as any.

I thought both films had some great moments, the places visited, teachers met etc were great and then the scientific stuff started and it was a big turn off. A group of people , don't know what credentials they had, making comparisons without explaining the reasons why. Shame... could have been real...

Mendrub is also called dudtsi chomen and, sometimes, simply jin-lab. (In my original sangha, our Teachers always just called it jin-lab.) Jin-lab translates as "blessing." So maybe some people call mendrub "blessing pills," although I have never personally heard that. In Vajraya...

If possible, take some mendrub every morning when you wake up and every evening before bed. Also take whenever you feel ill or out of sorts. Take whenever. Of course, it goes in the tshog chang for tshogs. Placed inside statues and stupas. Worn as an amulet. Put in rivers, lakes, oceans, ponds, etc...

Can someone explain what the difference is between mendrub and blessing pulls we receive from teachers?
What should we do with mendrub?
I can never figure out the difference?

On various streaming services there is authentic chanting and some teachings from Chagdud Tulku.a Nyingma Lama.

I know a monk from Poland (Damcho Zangpo) who did retreat at Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche's drubkhang in Yanglesho, and a lad from Norway who did the same at Thrangu Rinpoche's drubkhang in Namo Buddha (you see, you don't even have to be a monk)... i have also heard at least about 2 westerners who...
