Hello, my name is Aaron and I am from the mid-western United States. I do not know a whole lot about Buddhism and that is my reason for coming here: To Learn! I was talking to another buddhist about where to start and he recommended this site to me as a place to learn. I come from a Christian turned to Messianic Jewish background but I no longer follow these teachings. Where would you recommend I start learning buddhism? Are there any sites online with free online classes or anything? I would love to learn in the online world before visiting a center near me.
Thank you!

Welcome to DharmaWheel!
You might want to take a look at the resources available in the various school subforums and the more general, Discovering Mahayana Buddhism. Lots of free resources and links available.

Thank you everybody! I'll be checking out links you shared soon. I'm currently listening to an audiobook called 'How to Practice the Way to a Meaningful Life' by His holiness the Dalai Lama.
