Hello everyone

Post by Kajmak383 » Sun Jan 12, 2020 9:22 pm

Hi,

I'm Kajmak, I'm from Italy and I study at a Foreign Language High school.
I have being interested in Buddhism and Japanese religions for a year and I love learning about these wonderful and complex faiths.
I initially got interested in Nichiren Buddhism (Nichiren Shu), then in Soto Zen and Pure Land, but at the moment I'm focusing on the Buddhist history, Mahayana Buddhism in general, Tendai/Tiantai and other important schools.
Unfortunately I've never been in a Buddhist temple before (there is an important Soto Zen monastery in my area), because I come from a Atheist/Catholic family, but I have a little altar in my room and every so often I invoke the name of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas or meditate.
In the future I'm seriously thinking of "converting" to Buddhism, practice and study the Dharma on a regular basis.

Thanks for your attention

Kajmak

Welcome.

You can easily search the site for anything that interests you. Please feel free to comment on anything of interest.
I usually use a site-specific search in my browser, i.e. searching for
site:https://dharmawheel.net search-term
where search-term is what you're looking for.
Since the forum has been going for so long, there will be huge numbers of results for most common terms. Google Advanced Search lets you restrict results by date, and that can be handy, too.
