Greeting Everyone

Post by GoingHome »

Greeting to all, I'm new to Buddhism and started learning about over a year now, specifically in Pure Land and recitation of Amida Buddha's name. I was introduced to PL when my mother had cancer and we had a Nun and a group of layman came to chant the Buddha's name hoping she would gain enough faith and inspire to be reborn to Land of Ultimate Bliss. Even though she did not obtain rebirth to PL but may the seed of Buddhism be planted into her consciousness and all merit be transfer to her so she will soon be reborn into PL.

Welcome!
I hope your mother planted the seeds for future birth in the Pure Land.
You never know, tradition holds that there are 49 days between lives that she could've found her way.

Thanks for the greeting. Yes, during the 49 days we tried to cultivate merit and transfer to her. The only way to find out where was reborn to is to cultivate my faith and strengthen my vow so I can be reborn in PL. :anjali:
