Hello from North NJ!

Post by iamnotsosure » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:04 pm

I'm Richie, hi everyone :)

I took refuge with H.H. Dungse Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche back in March of last year and have recently started practicing Ngöndro again. I believe I was extremely fortunate in being able to make it out to 49th day of pujas for Rinpoche. Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche presiding over the pujas was particularly auspicious; It was my first time meeting him then. Going has really motivated me to practice with devotion to my root teacher.

At the end of the pujas, we were given cloth and salt relics from Rinpoche. I forgot to ask what to do with this as I was caught up taking everything in. Does anyone by any chance know how to best use these relics in my practice? I just thought it might be a good idea to ask the OCD sangha, but I don't think it'll hurt to ask here :P

I look forward to making friends here and understanding everything I can!

Hi! And, Welcome!
Those who, even with distracted minds,
Entered a stupa compound
And chanted but once, “Namo Buddhaya!”
Have certainly attained the path of the buddhas.

-Lotus Sutra, Expedient Means Chapter

There are beings with little dust in their eyes who are falling away because they do not hear the Dhamma. There will be those who will understand the Dhamma.
