Hi

I joined this forum to learn about different Buddhist schools. I have basic knowledge about Theravada Buddhism and i had some reading about Zen Buddhism in the past.

My approach to understanding the Buddha's teachings is through simplicity, i try to stick to the basics. From what i know so far, each school seem to have a distinct feature. Theravada seem to be analytical, Zen seem to be overly silent, pure land seem to be devotional and Tibetan Buddhism seem quite colorful.

I hope i will learn something here.

Welcome. Make yourself at home.
Those who, even with distracted minds,
Entered a stupa compound
And chanted but once, “Namo Buddhaya!”
Have certainly attained the path of the buddhas.

I think each human being has things to find out in his own life that are inescapable. They’ll find them out the easy way or the hard way, or whatever.
