Hello all.

Post by ElSexyBuda » Wed Oct 12, 2011 11:52 pm

Hello. My name is Matteo. I had been guided to Dharma Wheel by a trusted friend. I am relatively new to buddhism, and the only thing I know that I have learned so far, is that I know nothing. I had spent most of my life in an almost fully physical world, but as of recently my view points and opinions have transformed into a large stack of questions. Through meditation and the Dharma I have found, what I see as the beginning on the path of Mahayana Buddhism.

Watching your life, is like watching a hummingbird, you will inevitably blink and miss what is happening.

Knowing nothing is a really good place to start from. The tricky part is staying there.

Welcome aboard Matteo!

As you were asking me about Theravada the other day, the other board for Theravada discussion is http://www.dhammawheel.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - check it out, you might dig it!

"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget." –Arundhati Roy
