Dear all,
Does anyone know any English translation of the Tibetan text, the sūtra-mātṛkā (sūtra matrix) in "the Vastu-saṃgrahaṇī of the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra" (Peking edition of Tibetan Tripiṭaka, vol. 111, text no. 5540) ? This text has a Chinese version (T30, no.1579). Thanks.
Kind regards,
Thomas

No, it is not this portion of the text. But many thanks indeed for your response and the information. It gives me some other relevant information of the study.crazy-man wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:07 am do you mean this text? योगाचारभूमौ वस्तुसंग्रहणी (* yogācārabhūmau vastusaṃgrahaṇī) རྣལ་འབྱོར་སྤྱོད་པའི་ས་ལས་གཞི་བསྡུ་བ། (rnal 'byor spyod pa'i sa las gzhi bsdu ba)

No, it is not the portion of the textual studies. But, thanks for your response and the information. The studies (such as the phd thesis by Lee) are useful information about the text.crazy-man wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:07 am

Unfortunately, no English translation, AFAIK, of the section you want, exists.
Then, the monks uttered this gāthā:
These bodies are like foam.
Them being frail, who can rejoice in them?
The Buddha attained the vajra-body.
Still, it becomes inconstant and ruined.
The many Buddhas are vajra-entities.
All are also subject to inconstancy.
Quickly ended, like melting snow --
how could things be different?
The Buddha passed into parinirvāṇa afterward.

This, I think: The Chapter on the Mundane Path (Laukikamārga) in the Śrāvakabhūmi: A Trilingual Edition (Sanskrit, Tibetan, Chinese), and Annotated Translation and Introductory Study, trans. Florin Deleanu.
