Soen Yu, breathing exercises taught by Zen Master Dae Bong

I am not a zennie, but I think this could be of interest to some of you and possibly help you. So enjoy.

“Observing samaya involves to remain inseparable from the union of wisdom and compassion at all times, to sustain mindfulness, and to put into practice the guru’s instructions”. Garchen Rinpoche

For those who do virtuous actions,
goodness is what comes to pass.
For those who do non-virtuous actions,
that becomes suffering indeed.

Nice. I'm curious about the origins of Seung Sahn's breathing exercises.

Zen Master Seung Sahn's body was always giving him trouble, so this was something he came up with to help with that. It's not meant to be as heavy as chi kung or the like, although if you have a background in that, it is basically the same thing. Soen Yu is just a simple body, breath and mind relaxation exercise. I particularly like the "fix your body" one, where you roll your hands skyward.

When walking, standing, sitting, lying down, speaking,
being silent, moving, being still.
At all times, in all places, without interruption - what is this?
One mind is infinite kalpas.
