Tashi delek,

Some time ago, people were a property of the land lord. they belonged to the land.
The land lord could rape women, kill, abuse the inhabitants of his land etc.
Now, since we are born with a tax number and die with it, there has something changed.......

A better world without modern slaves.

Tashi delek,

Forests and trees a clear combination.

Forests are destroyed for many reasons like:

Toilet paper - alternative - use water
News paper - alternative - read news on the laptop
Furniture which is thrown in the litter after 4 years - alternative - restoration

So deforesting is a worldwide problem, it contributes greatly to climate chance.

A better health and world with more trees.

Tashi delek,

Unhealthy rivers cause unhealthy oceans.

There are some great rivers worldwide who cause the plastic pollution in the oceans
A better world and health with clean rivers. Rivers are not meant to function as a trash can.

Tashi delek,

This Man knows what is wrong in this world, namely the hunt for fake luxury.
Real luxury is active compassion which results in happiness, which contributes in turn to a better world and of course a better mental health.

Tashi delek ,

All respect for Harrison Ford, he knows it regarding our actual climate change.
His person can reach worldwide a lot of people that is very postive.
In our world of Tibetan Buddhism, our Rinpoches could do the same, guess some of them are doing it.

A better world and health with persons like him.

Tibetan and Western Integrative Medicine Symposium:

5th
Tibetan and Western Integrative Medicine Symposium:
Developing Personalized Care Approaches
Oct. 5 - 6, 2018 | Stanford University, California

The Tibetan and Western Integrative Symposium seeks to provide a context for establishing a cohesive intercultural and interdisciplinary field of medical research and clinical applications that will result in collaborative efforts to develop integrative models of healthcare. Our goal is to construct a bridge between Tibetan and Western Integrative Medicine to share the benefits and perspectives of these systems in a rigorous and open dialogue.

We invite the world’s most dedicated clinicians, healthcare professionals, physicians, researchers and educators to present their knowledge and ground breaking research in Tibetan Medicine, clinical science and integrative medicine - all with the goal of understanding the concepts of these diverse medical systems in order to reduce suffering.

In 2018, our focus is “developing personalized care approaches”. Tibetan Medicine is an integrative and holistic system based on the 5 elements which are the building blocks of the mind/body dynamic. These elements hold our body in a state of equilibrium. According to Tibetan Medicine that balance is maintained in dependence on your unique genetically born body type. The care provided by Tibetan Medicine is not a standardized approach. Rather, it is an approach based on each individual’s unique constitution with the goal of providing a distinct and personalized mode of treatment to maintain balance.

A better world if western Medicine understands more about the holistic Tibetan Medicine System.

"Everything that you do to the Earth, you have to be prepared to do to your mother."
We have a lot to learn from the Aboriginal understanding of the environment, says writer Bruce Pascoe.

A better world with this insight gives us a healthy live on this planet called earth.

Tashi delek,

We know it all, the wasting of food.

Food is :

- Grown / maintained with fertilizer etc.
- Harvested
- Transported
- Stored and sold

The grown and harvesting takes many energy so in that way food is seen as precious.
To throw away food is wasting energy and on top of that a shameful deed, if we realize the many starving humans and animals worldwide.

Also at the vegetable auction happens a lot.
If they cannot get the price , because the offer of a certain product is too much, then a vegetable is destroyed. They throw then tons of tomatoes etc. in the litter.
This is the top of wasting food.

A better and healthier world without wasting food.

Tashi delek,

Chinese and Asian people have so their "special food" and medicine where they don´t care about the suffering of the killed / eaten animals.

Eating meat can be very extreme, like with every taste humans can have, if they enjoy their food.
Eating human flesh is also an extreme way of eating meat and is forbidden worldwide since some years.
Below a clip where one can see what is non compassion to animals, here the persons kill the animals by themselves.
These people can kill also easy humans, in case of war.........

A better and healthier world without violence to animals, direct or indirect.

Tashi delek,

Worldwide are there poachers, who kill the wild animals for different dirty reasons.
A better world if animals are not anymore killed by humans for their meat and other means.
If people defend the wild animals then why not see it in a broader sense and also defend other animals like those from the slaughter house ?
Its only a little step of emancipation / compassion.

Tashi delek,

Seen the climate change, there are some ways to improve the health of the city, namely to built a green roof on top of a building.
China also is doing this on a large scale in their crowded and polluted cities.
This green roof system has many advantages and for instance one is that it cools in summer.
I saw already in 1980 in Portugal / Algarve that some Dutchmen had green roofs with grass. This was special grass which could endure high temperatures. The effect was remarkable, a cool house in the summer time.

Planting roofs was also 20 years ago suggested by the Dutch prime minister, but this alternative landed in the trash can.
But now again big news for a better health in the city .

Tashi delek,

The Antarctic is melting, like i understood.

The sea level will rise and i guess Holland / Pais Bas / Paisos Bajos / The Nether lands will be flooded , if the dikes are not elevated in time.
That was already known 20 years ago that the dikes must be elevated 2 meter , now it will be more.
I am living in the southern part of Holland and we live 350 meter above the sea level.

Already now at the moment many northern Dutchmen removed to our area, because of that danger.

Living alongside the rivers is also dangerous at the moment. Some rivers like the German Rhine flushes into the North Sea in western Holland.
They are digging at the moment deep holes to collect the water temporal in case of a flood.

All in all its true that the sea levels are rising.

A better health with a better climate
Planting trees and improve the Nature , that is a must.

Guess the money for war and weapons must be invest in Nature like woods and clean oceans, the only way.
But that is not understood by the war lords.

Tashi delek,

The heart on the right side, or having Compassion with suffering sentient beings, can be an active mentality.
We all know it, the hobos and other homeless humans who are starving daily.
There are some great Bodhisattvas who are active regarding these poor homeless people.

A better world and wellness / health with the help of these persons.

Tashi delek,

The slaughtering of animals is a process based on the belly and gums of many humans.

Not supporting this out of Compassion / health, some don´t support indirect killing.
To replace meat with alternative products like soy, can contribute to a better world for animals and humans.

The man below can explain it better than i can.

The world behind the curtains of our daily meat on our plate.

The slaughter house and what happens there sometimes.......
A better world is a world without slaughter houses, houses of cruelties and pain which are not in line with the view of the Bodhisattva, or are they maybe ?

Tashi delek,

First this is NOT an advertisement for ALDI Supermarkets, but an explanation for obtaining healthy food somewhere in the USA, which is very rare.

This topic contributes to a better health in the USA, that is all.......

So if the Mods see this as an advertisement then feel so free to delete this topic, no problem.
Could keep the name Aldi secret, but then Americans are never informed where to buy healthy food.

========================

Good news for Americans !
We all know how unhealthy the products from American supermarkets can be.

German retailer Aldi has announced that as of January 1st they will be removing 8 pesticides from all products on its U.S. stores shelves. The food chain is making a name for itself as a health-focused supermarket in recent times. With low prices AND a focus on health, Aldi is gaining a reputation as the food conscious shoppers go-to store....

The pesticides being removed are:

Thiamethoxam
Chlorpyrifos
Clothianidin
Cypermethrin
Deltamethrin
Fipronil
Imidacloprid
Sulfoxaflor

Aldi has made a name for itself in recent years for being strict about removing certain pesticides and chemicals from its products, and they are going even further in their quest for quality.
