What does "my" imply?
I've seen here and heard at gatherings people refer to "my"Lama.
Sorry if this is a silly question but what is meant by this?
When you say "my Lama" what is the understanding being conveyed?
What does "my" imply?
Re: What does "my" imply?
It could mean the person sees the lama as the leader of their sangha.
It could also mean the person sees the lama as the living embodiment of buddhahood, their guide, inspiration, and connection to the blessings of a lineage.
It depends on one's school and practice.
