Buddhist Terminology & their Definitions

Post by Matman » Thu Feb 21, 2019 1:51 pm

Does this Site have it's own (basic / brief) Short(ish) List of Common Buddhist Terminology plus Definitions (perhaps a List Members can - with Moderator Approval - contribute any 'omissions' to, on the proviso the Terms / Expressions are both 'handy' and not 'too' esoteric for most folk to easily comprehend?

I can see there's a List of Resources, so maybe one of those links leads to one already (Did take a quick look, but nothing leaped out).

Appreciate that, otherwise, Google can be consulted (or the appendices of Buddhism Books) but it's really more about 'discovering new useful words' in common use in Buddhism, than simply looking up definitions of words only just encountered.

Thanks, in advance, for any Comment.

Shanti is peace.

Metta you will see very often, this means love or loving-kindness.
