Just received an email that this Sunday's service will be the last for Daiseion-ji in New York.
This is so unfortunate.
Daiseion-ji
Daiseion-ji
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.

Re: Daiseion-ji
Well thats a drag. I'm heading up thru new england in June, intending to hook up with the Nichiren-Shu folks in Massachusetts but their webpage is kind of stale which is of some concern. Are there recommendations wrt contacts up there to find suitable places/occasions?
(stopping by Jiunzan Tendai-ji as well but thats another topic...)

Re: Daiseion-ji
That's a shame. I hadn't heard. What's happening with Rev. Kumakura? I attended a couple of retreats that co-led a few years ago.
The New England sangha is still going. The Nichiren Shu sanghas are mostly terrible about keeping their websites updated. The have pages on Facebook and Meetup, so you can find contact info there. Rev. Faulconer is busy with school these days, but hopefully you can get in touch with someone there.

Happy to report that things are working out for Daiseion-ji - they were able to raise the funds to keep going!
Very good news.
