Mod Approval on Disagreeing with Guru thread?

Post by Mantrik »

Just wondering why comments are suddenly subject to Mod approval on this thread.
Is there an issue?
If so, perhaps a post on the thread would be polite.

That thread's on the Discovering Mahayana Buddhism sub-forum which has always been subject to moderation in my experience.
The antidote—to be free from the suffering of samsara—you need to be free from delusion and karma; you need to be free from ignorance, the root of samsara. So you need to meditate on emptiness. That is what you need. Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Thanks. That could be it but it only seemed to be in the latter part of the discussion. Odd.

Bristollad is correct. That forum is fully moderated. There might have been a mod closely following the thread for a while and approving as posts came in. When mods aren't on it, it will languish a little.

That said, it might be better to move that thread to another sub forum where the mod rules don't apply.

I'll do that in a second.
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.

Thanks for explaining. :)
Yes, it seems to be ticking along nicely.

That's actually a good point... as a general rule we only remove topics that, for moderation reasons, we feel should not be accessible, but I don't recall removing threads because they've outlived usefulness... will need to discuss this with the team...
