awakening from slumber of ignorance ( quotes / stories )

Post by KonchokZoepa »

Hi, i would like to make this thread for all of us who sometimes dont have the best motivation or are just in slumber and want to wake up from the sleep and slumber of ignorance.

thoughts, stories , quotes that wake you up to the importance of Dharma practice that shake you and wake you up from the passive states of mind.

i have read some but i cant remember them so i will post myself also when i happen to remember or find a quote or a story again.

thankkyoouu
If the thought of demons
Never rises in your mind,
You need not fear the demon hosts around you.
It is most important to tame your mind within....

In so far as the Ultimate, or the true nature of being is concerned,
there are neither buddhas or demons.
He who frees himself from fear and hope, evil and virtue,
will realize the insubstantial and groundless nature of confusion.
Samsara will then appear as the mahamudra itself….
