im stupified.
If the thought of demons
Never rises in your mind,
You need not fear the demon hosts around you.
It is most important to tame your mind within....

In so far as the Ultimate, or the true nature of being is concerned,
there are neither buddhas or demons.
He who frees himself from fear and hope, evil and virtue,
will realize the insubstantial and groundless nature of confusion.
Samsara will then appear as the mahamudra itself….

Yes.

Guns, knives, swords, canons, grenades, anything really that is capable of harm.

Who would do? Why all Tibetans. Why would they do it? Because Dharmapālas, like any army, need weapons.

eheh, i get different reactions when i think from different angles. could be at least for the locals a good reminder to look at the dalai lama when lusting for booze and through the image of the dalai lama lift up theyre minds and decide not to buy. :juggling:

So you found samsara? But isn't that everywhere already? The HHDL poking his head into samsara is a good thing!
One should not kill any living being, nor cause it to be killed, nor should one incite any other to kill. Do never injure any being, whether strong or weak, in this entire universe!

I noticed most of the liquor shops around here have portraits of lineage heads.

I think it is funny.

People will drink their booze regardless of what Buddhism says.

Well Ven Indrajala, I have seen portraits of the late Mother Teresa, sometimes sitting next to Hindu deities in Indian restaurants but I don't know enough to assume that the restaurant owners are necessarily Catholics.... I know of some who have HHDL's portrait but they're not Buddhists. People put up portraits of so and so for varied reasons and sometimes religion isn't the only one nor even its reason...
