Venezuela seems like some kind of pariah as of late as is Cuba...to you guys anyway.
Venezuela is a perfect example of the failure of a classical Socialist planned economy.

if you read me, and i know it can be tedious...i am not saying we are like some communist country.
we are socialist though in many ways..the government enacts GST tax on goods and services and then gives cheques to middle class families four times a year to set off the burden..we have a lot of welfare stuff and health care and the list is endless..but we are not communist , neither is Britain but they brought in social welfare after WWII . Frans and the rest of europe do the same.
America is the only country that does not have universal health care in the western world anyway...the only G7...

the word socialist really does mean other things to you guys due to you being brainwashed from the get go.
the whole Obama care thing...it isn't even called that except in propaganda...is inane ...how do you not want as a Buddhist universal health care...

no one sick in Canada worries about cost ...we get ill and get better...yeah a few times a year some fall through the cracks ...especially in detention centres...
meh you guys need to realize a lot of Americanism is just propaganda ..

ok i'm done. have fun knock yourselves out with this time waster..

so there is some semblance of sanity in this thread.

Bernie was just up here last week in Toronto studying our health care system..we showed him the warts...
he praised it and was very much accepted at the University of toronto Convocation Hall where he gave a lecture.
we love the guy.

Split from BOUND.TORTURED. KILLED. Locked, but willing to reopen if anyone has something substantive to say about money, markets and power relative to different economic systems.

Alternatively, check out Best political system for Dharma,
or Socialism & Communism.
