Although many individuals in this age appear to be merely indulging their worldly desires, one does not have the capacity to judge them, so it is best to train in pure vision.

Its worse than people who pay their servants to do their prostrations for them
Re: Robot Buddhist Priests in Japan
Where's the bodhicitta? If there is no bodhicitta, how on earth are the dead even going to be liberated? Saying stuff won't help. There must at least be bodhicitta, even if one doesn't know any mantras or sutras. This is bad!Pero wrote: ↑Sun Jan 28, 2018 10:43 am So, how long till robots replace teachers too?

I wonder how this person framed that in their mind that it made any kind of sense at all.
I actually find that far weirder than this robot.

I personally think it is plausible if done by masters(already done by Dalai Lama,ChNNR, Garchen Rinpoche etc) and watched real-time,but an insentient robot on the other hand......Fortyeightvows wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:33 amWell alot of people on this forum advocate for empowerment over the computer so...What's next? No bodhicitta, then the empowerment is useless.liuzg150181 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:54 amI personally think it is plausible if done by masters(already done by Dalai Lama,ChNNR, Garchen Rinpoche etc) and watched real-time,but an insentient robot on the other hand......Fortyeightvows wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:33 amWell alot of people on this forum advocate for empowerment over the computer so...What's next? This is like a person with back pains buying a robot and having the robot do the therapy. What's the point?

Perhaps if the monkeys had bodhicitta or compassion, it might work no matter how bad it goes whether the monkey lama throws an apple instead of pouring water on people's heads, reciting mantras as screams that no one understands, etc.....Grigoris wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:19 pmWhat about if they trained a monkey to do the service?
