Layin' on my back
In the newly mown grass
Rain is coming down
But I know the clouds will pass
You bring me tea
Say "the babe's a-sleepin'"
Lay down beside me
Love ain't for keeping

Black ash from the foundry
Hangs like a hood
But the air is perfumed
By the burning firewood
The seeds are bursting
The spring is seeping
Lay down beside me
Love ain't for keeping
Lay down beside me
Love ain't for keeping

Lay down beside me
Love ain't for keeping
Lay down my darling
Love ain't for keeping

Right............but first you have to have love before you can give it..........

When I just got out of the army I went through some rough parts of Asia. In one there was this "haunted' coral reef that was supposedly the domain of a wrathful mermaid. I decided to explore. It was like reefs 50 years ago. There were huge fans of fire coral and even a school of puffer fish. While I was exploring I remembered all the cool things I learned as a child from those Jacques Cousteau documentaries. Because of him I knew how poisonous many of the residents were and how to navigate coral caves. He probably saved my life.

Sorry, that was a ridiculous comment but I couldn't resist making it.

I suppose I can't relate to the idea you brought up of not having love to share with someone. I don't have a frame of reference for that. I've been really, really pissed off at certain people, and/or hurt by them, but I've never felt empty of love to give.

I guess this means that I'm still a too-trusting teenage boy at 41 years of age.

Don't you first have to (HAVE) something before you can eat it or give it ?

I learned that hot guys in black leather jackets and fast motorcycles are my kryptonite.

Whereupon I entered the downward spiral. Took a long while to come back up.

Also, avoid attack rabbits.
