You call that wasteful spending? How about cutting the taxes of the absolute richest Americans, Multi-millionaires, to multi-billionaires, and then attempting to pay for it by taking things away from the already poor of our country, not just our poor, but our poor, sick, and disenfranchised.Ricky wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 5:27 amPlenty of wasteful spending that's for sure. A big economic collapse is in the making.justsit wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 3:34 amVery little to be concerned with there. The dollar amounts are absolutely miniscule in relation to say, the tax dollar amounts spent on Viagra for the military ($84 MILLION in 2014), nuclear weapons, degradation of the environment, free health care for members of Congress, Presidential golfing trips, and about a million other things. Many private insurance companies now pay for trans care, so public dollars are not involved; and many trans persons do not have any surgery.
It's so surreal that it sounds like a fiction book where the writer was intentionally trying to create a story villian that everyone hates, except.. it happened in reality.
And, who cares if they did use taxpayer money to pay for it. All we'd have to do is cut military spending by about, idk say..... 00.00001%. Sigh. Wish I were president. My first action would be cutting our military's budget by around 30-40%, and redistributing it to social programs.
