According to the above article there is an ancient legend of automotons guarding the relics of the Buddha, supposedly placed there by King Ajatasatru. To be honest this seems kind of out there. Does anyone know the source text of this legend? Or is the author of the article making this up?

I’m not sure if the article is right about this, but if the abrahamists could make golems, then I’m sure that the followers of the Buddhas could produce automaton too.
