When you look at a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha

Do you ever get that feeling of peace when you just look at a Buddha statue ? There is something about Buddha statues that just seem to emit tranquility..In my experience I feel quieted and calm when I let my eyes settle on a Buddha image.
