China Never Respects Cultures of Tibet and Its People: HHDL

Dharamshala: Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama reached Tibetan settlement at Ravangla, South Sikkim, Saturday, December 18, where a huge gathering of devotees and followers were waiting for him with great enthusiasm. His Holiness spent more than four hours there with the Tibetan refugees.

In an informal talk with the Ministers and the district officials, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said that the protest and the revolution of Tibetan people demanding free Tibet was genuine. He said that the communist government of China never respects the traditions and cultures of Tibet and its people and hence the 60 years long demand and revolution is just. The people of Tibet have their own right of religion which China is not allowing and, hence, this struggle of Tibetan people throughout the world to get their self respect back, His Holiness further added.
