Barche Lamsel Visualization?
Barche Lamsel Visualization?
Does anyone know of a thangka corresponding with the visualization of the 8 forms of Padmasambhava described in this text:
http://www.lotsawahouse.org/tibetan-mas ... che-lamsel
And which is which? Thanks!

Which one would be a blonde, young Padmasambhava as described in the prayer? I am having a hard time finding a thangka for that.lelopa wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 6:29 am maybe it is this one

The name of each deity is written before the corresponding part in the translation of Lotsawa House, so if you tell me which one you are interested in I can tell you how it looks like.

Gyalwe Dungdzin, (I think I got Maw(e) Seng(e) as a scholar correctly, not too sure), Kyechok Tsul Zang, Dukyi Shechen, Dzam Ling Gyen Chok(I'm not too sure if thangkas ever blonde hair at all!), (I think I got Pema Jungne correct as the usual Padmasambhava we first see on Google), not too sure what Khyepar Pakpe Rigdzin is, Dzutrul Thuchen(what is the difference from that and other forms? They all seem to bound others to oaths.), Dorje Drakpo Tsal(not too sure if he is a fat man holding a scorpion or a furious black figure with phurbas on a lion or has a phurba appearance), Kalden Drendze, Raksa Totreng(is there really a difference between him and his form as Dzam Ling Gyen Chok?), and Guru Dechen Gyalpo(maybe the Padmasambhava we see usually or something?).heart wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:11 pmThe prayer correspond with Mandala of Tukdrub Barche Kunsel: http://rywiki.tsadra.org/index.php/Tukd ... hey_KunselTenma wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 7:54 am Does anyone know of a thangka corresponding with the visualization of the 8 forms of Padmasambhava described in this text:

The one next to the 5 Medicine Sisters with a "Mahakala" appearance? Because here in the prayer, it gives a more peaceful appearance. Or is it the Blue skinned one to main Padmasambhava's left with a "Bonpo" hat?lelopa wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 3:19 pmthe heruka with the two phurbas and the pale hair & green cloakTenma wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 9:16 amWhich one would be a blonde, young Padmasambhava as described in the prayer? I think you need to download the jpeg that has been linked to, label each one of the forms (using some sort of simple "paint" program) and then upload it to here as an attachment.heart wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:11 pmThe prayer correspond with Mandala of Tukdrub Barche Kunsel: http://rywiki.tsadra.org/index.php/Tukd ... hey_KunselTenma wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 7:54 am Does anyone know of a thangka corresponding with the visualization of the 8 forms of Padmasambhava described in this text:

I am not sure how interested the op is. I am quite familiar with this mandala and don't mind sharing information about it.Grigoris wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 6:10 pmI think you need to download the jpeg that has been linked to, label each one of the forms (using some sort of simple "paint" program) and then upload it to here as an attachment.heart wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 2:11 pmThe prayer correspond with Mandala of Tukdrub Barche Kunsel: http://rywiki.tsadra.org/index.php/Tukd ... hey_KunselTenma wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 7:54 am Does anyone know of a thangka corresponding with the visualization of the 8 forms of Padmasambhava described in this text:
