I am continually amazed by how the various levels of teachings align within Dharma into one perfect whole. It inspires faith. However, in my musings I can also be prone to see patterns where none exist.
Anyhow, on my walk this morning I thought that Ethics, Meditation and Wisdom could correspond to Outer, Inner and Secret.
Something there, or just reaching too far? Your thoughts?

Indeed...
Mahamudra vs Dzogchen
Which mala
Some lama said something different from some other lama
I can’t be bothered to read a book, can someone explain this quotation to me?
Chogyam Trungpa - discuss.
Your view of emptiness is wrong because some book I don’t understand said so
My Yidam’s better than yours
I did something dumb, will the Dharmapalas eat me?
Dzongsar Khyentse said something faux-controversial
This Mahayana nonsense isn’t in the Pali canon
Science vs Buddhism
Is Dzogchen really A Thing?
I can’t find a teacher, because I never leave the house
Some story from some namtar sounds absurd
...and repeat...
Re: Concordance
Yes, that’s one way to look at it -- and that's a pretty good list, BTW. But in that spirit, the Dharma itself could be said to be the same old stuff, over and over again.PeterC wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 2:47 pmIndeed...

It’s also true that different people discover the Dharma at different times with different levels of capacity, and that one being understands or internalizes it in different ways at different times. No less so on DW.
Repetition can be viewed from the perspective of running in circles, spiraling upward, or spiraling downward. It’s more a matter of how any statement or discussion, which ostensibly seems repetitious, impacts the individual this time.

Re: Concordance
Repetition leads to habituation. We have countless lives of wrong repetitions to de-habituate. The only way to do this is through repetition of correct actions which will lead to wholesome habits.
There is nothing intrinsically wrong with repetition.
That is why we take vows to do the same practice every day, for all of our life/lives.
