Guru yoga with Samantabhadra?

Post by monktastic » Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:21 pm

In Nyingma, of course Guru Rinpoche is most often used for GY. Have you heard of anyone using Samantabhadra directly? Perhaps the Aspiration Prayer of Samantabhadra could be considered basically that.
This undistracted state of ordinary mind
Is the meditation.
One will understand it in due course.

Kunjed Gyalpo Guru Yoga.
It is described in vol 7 of the commentary to Kunjed Gyalpo translated by Jim Valby. This volume contains a commentary -rinchen druwo- by Longchenpa. It is found there.

Thanks, both of you!

It is said that GR is compelled to offer blessings when we visualize him and beseech him. Any reason this wouldn't be true for Samantabhadra as well?
