Mother Tara drawn by Drukpa Holiness

Post by phantom59 » Sun Jan 22, 2012 3:03 pm

His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa has kindly shared with us his own hand-drawn Tara painting. At age 13, Tara appeared before him when he was in a retreat in Ladakh. The original painting drawn with color pencils is presently in His Holiness's possession. As there are many different negative predictions about the forthcoming Dragon year, this painting comes as a great blessing. Jetsun Drolma or Tara, known as the "mother of liberation", has the ability to help to eradicate negativities and obstacles. Thank you so much, Your Holiness!

For example?
Equanimity is the ground. Love is the moisture. Compassion is the seed. Bodhicitta is the result.

-Paraphrase of Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tsephel citing the Guhyasamaja Tantra

"All memories and thoughts are the union of emptiness and knowing, the Mind.
Without attachment, self-liberating, like a snake in a knot.
Through the qualities of meditating in that way,
Mental obscurations are purified and the dharmakaya is attained."

-Ra Lotsawa, All-pervading Melodious Drumbeats

Thank you for sharing. Gonna re-share this.

I would endure it for myriad lifetimes
As your companion in practice"
