Ruth Denison 9/29/22 – 2/26/15
One of the primary founding mothers of the Vipassana tradition in America, Ruth Denison, 9/29/22 - 2/26/15.
She passed away quietly at 3 AM PST. Her body will rest in state in the Zendo at Dhamma Dena Retreat Center in Joshua Tree until until 8 PM February 26.
FYI After 8 PM today Ruth will be transferred to a mortuary where her old body will be maintained in cold storage, not to emerge again until the day of her memorial/Cremation/celebration which will be either the 14th or 21st of March.
