Purification for C

Post by Mönlam Tharchin » Sat Sep 29, 2018 9:50 pm

C and I have been friends since high school.
He has been battling HIV and the serious side effects of medications.
He has become addicted to meth and dangerous activities to escape his daily misery.
He was recently fired and evicted.

Please dedicate a portion of your purification practices to C.

Here are clear instructions on the 35 Confession Buddhas from Thubten Chodron, for example.

Thank you.

With a heart wandering in ignorance down this path and that, to guide me I simply say Namu-amida-butsu. -- Ippen

If in your heart you hold the thought, "I shall continue to utter the nembutsu," the Buddha will turn his attention to you, and thus you are one among those who are thought about and cherished. -- Master Hōnen

The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have unobstructed vision in all directions. Everything is in their presence; and I stand in front of them. -- Shantideva, Guide to the Bodhisattva Way of Life

If I can get through the instructions I will try as you ask.

Thanks. Even reading the instructions is very generous of you! It's a wonderful practice to do regularly, both for oneself and others.

C is doing much better. The firing/eviction were hallucinations.
Now his friends and family are showing up in spades to help him through this. He may go home today or tomorrow.

Very thankful for the part anyone here played in that.

May all beings be free from their addictions.
