Sound and meditation

Post by Rick »

Anyone have experience using sound with meditation?

I'm not talking about chanting or mantra-ing ... rather something like listening to an audio recording (of sound or music, not a guided vocal meditation) while meditating, or making external or internal sounds the focus of shamatha or even vipassana.

Thanks!

Many thanks. Will read and see if I still have questions, in which case I'll ask for it to be reopened. :-)
