Meditation with nature sounds

Post by yp2300 »

I listen to nature sounds when I try to do meditation by myself.

Do you have any preferred music and/or sounds?

I mostly listen to the sound of my own chanting as I chant. If I do engage in seated meditation, I try not to be picky about any background noise, much less worry about aesthetics. But if forced to choose...

Meditation in nature is great, or with nature sounds. Very much benefit there.

When i go outside and hear the birds and insects, the trees blowing in the wind, I always pause to meditate. But normally when i do sitting meditation it's enough noise, my clock, my wife in the kitchen, traffic on the streets, lawn service workers, construction... I smile and think of those noises as the sound of Buddha Fields at play

I enjoy outside practice the most.
So spacious and refreshing.
Listening to the wind and relaxing.
The profound path of the master.

Similar experience here. When I go outside to sit on a bench at my local park , then let go of my wandering thoughts, and focus only on my breath, or mental recitation of a Buddha's name.
For those moments there I stop worrying about daily life matters (like economy, jobs, food, video games competitions, strife and arguments ... etc.).

Feels like ... bliss!

Truly inspirational , nature is!
It does not need to hurry, and it continues to flourish without the need of any money.
Sometimes fun to watch the birds fly by, or the squirrels foraging.
