Question about Meditation

Post by WesleyP » Mon Dec 09, 2019 4:20 am

Hello,

What is your meditation practice? Does it have ups and downs and sometimes confusion.

I do my "Morning Meditation" every morning for about 17 minutes to an Hour.

My meditation is not to meditate and never be distracted.
It has been the misfortune (not, as these gentlemen think it, the glory) of this age that everything is to be discussed. Edmund Burke, Reflections on the Revolution in France.

The first part should be easy, the second one on the other hand .. hmm..
Yeah .. non-meditation is not the same as not meditating  :ugeek: :jawdrop:

It is explained in this way: "While there isn't even as much as an atom to cultivate by meditating, you shouldn't be distracted for even as long as an instant." Phrased in another way, undistracted ordinary mind means to keep the way your mind naturally is without being distracted.

Dakpo Tashi Namgyal, Clarifying the Natural State, p. 50.

Hello,

What is your meditation practice?
Hello,
Sit quietly.
Breathe in and the mind says in
Breathe out and the mind says out
Thoughts come. Hopefully let them go.
If I find myself following thoughts then go back to watching breathe ... in and out.

What do you mean by ups and downs?
I have good days where concentration is good
And bad days where I find it hard to concentrate
Confusion? No confusion. There is no thinking involved.

I do my meditation at night.
Sometimes, will have chance to do it while waiting at the bus stop
Or doctor's office, or anytime there is space for it
